The unnamed fire chief is the head of the New York fire department at the time of the Gremlin invasion of the Clamp Center building. He appeared in Gremlins 2: The New Batch.

Fire Chief and the rest of the fire department were called there when the fire alarm had went off inside the building (set off by Kate Peltzer in an successful attempt to get everyone out of the building due to the gremlins taking over). The Fire Chief could at one point be seen standing next to Daniel Clamp who explained to him the plan to lure the gremlins outside with a fake night backdrop, whereupon they would get fried by the sun. However, this plan failed (backfired, in fact) as it got very cloudy outside and rain was imminent.
