The smoking gremlins were gremlins that spawned at Kingston Falls in 1984.

They seen sitting at the counter at Dorry's Tavern while smoking and singing together, as well as eating popcorn. One of them, having multiple cigarettes in his mouth, was knocked down to the floor by Kate Peltzer as she tries to light it's cigarettes and by so, she finds out that the gremlins are weak to light and uses a camera to blind them as she makes her escape.
The Smoking Gremlins joined Stripe and the other Gremlins at the movie theater, where they are killed with the rest of the other gremlins, except Stripe when Billy and Kate blow up the movie theater.
